Bank Robber Bails Halfway Through Heist In Eastern PA, Police Say

A would-be bank robber got cold feet and fled before taking his cash, say Yeadon Borough police.

It happened at the Santander Bank at 115 Chester Avenue on Tuesday, July 18, authorities said in a release. 

The suspect walked in around 2:20 p.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding cash, investigators believe. When the teller "delayed," the man walked out without a dime, according to police. 

He was described as wearing a red baseball cap and a red shirt with black sleeves. Anyone who can identify him is asked to call Yeadon Borough Police Department at 610-623-1500 or submit an anonymous tip through the Delaware County Crime Watch webpage
